The INMATEC solutions on the basis of the PSA(Pressure Swing Adsorption)technology generate nitrogen of an especially high purity.

The technology of Pressure Swing Adsorption allows to supply nitrogen at a purity of up to 6.0 / 1.0 ppm (residual oxygen) and a delivered quantity of 0,5 - 10.000 Nm3/h.

PSA: for highly clean to ultra-clean nitrogen

The PSA technology is based on the adsorption principle: The nitrogen and oxygen molecules from the intake air are separated by a carbon molecular sieve (CMS). The larger nitrogen molecules are penetrating in the process, the activated carbon of the sieve. They are transported by means of the compressed air from the downstream system tank. This is where the highly clean nitrogen is ready to use.
As soon as the high quality activated carbon is completely saturated with oxygen molecules, the shift to the second pressure swing adsorption tank takes place. This one contains also a carbon molecular sieve. The first tank is regenerated in the mean time. This process guarantees the continuous high supply and purity of the nitrogen.
A continual quality insurance is guaranteed, by the measurement of the temperature of the compressed air, the pressure of the compressed air, the nitrogen pressure and the purity of the nitrogen. All the measured values are documented on a concise INMATEC touch control panel, they can be remotely controlled and can be monitored from any navigation station around the world.
